Chianti is an Italian staple and this is a great example from one of Italy’s most progressive producers. The full character of Sangiovese is on show here, on the palate you will find red fruits, hints of spice raisins and currants. The finish is dry and balanced with good acidity, making the wine incredibly more-ish and a great accompaniment to most foods.

With a prime position overlooking the Finniss River wetlands, ‘Stranger’s Reach’ vineyard is cooled by the maritime influence of the Great Southern Ocean and nearby Lake Alexandria.

Glass-staining purple. Blackberry, cassis and cola on the fragrant nose. Offers an array of dark fruit compote and spice flavours and picks up smokiness with air, along with a floral nuance. Finishes sweet and long, with resonating spiciness and gentle tannic grip.

Zephyr Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand

Ethereal and lifted but with a taut structural savouriness. A year that delivered the best from a vineyard that will continue to challenge the senses for many years.

Pale green in colour. On the nose you’ll find notes of snow pea, rock melon, and fennel. The palate shows lemongrass and a mouth-watering minerality that lingers on the finish.

Quinta Da Aveleda, Vinho Verde, Portugal

Careful viticulture takes the fruit of this estate-grown wine into bright scents of lime, white rose and pink grapefruit, with a mouth-watering persistence of flavours that sets it apart. Drink this summer, or hold for up to six months.

Monte Paschcoal Virtus Moscato, Brazil
