Winyl 28th

Winyl?.

(Wine and ..er Vinyl …see what we did there)

This Friday (28th Nov) in our PENARTH Shop we will be hosting the AMC (Analogue Music Club) for our 2nd Winyl night.

Those who frequent the shops will know we like our records and we like our wine, so combining the 2 seems to fit nicely.

How it works? – Well the nice chaps at the AMC setup 2 turntables in the shop and will play a selection of records, requests and stuff that people bring along. So you can just come hang out and listen to other peoples collection or dig out your old picture discs and get them some airtime!!!

Nibbles will be provided by the good people at Foxys deli and 0ur On License means that you can also buy drinks to consume on the premesis should you wish!

Colonia Las Liebres – Bonarda – Argentina 2012

9 Apr

Hello good people of Britain and abroad

I would like to tell you more about this wine.
This wine is made from 100% Bonarda grapes from Argentina and is fresh, vibrant, fruity, juicy and very DELICIOUS!
Loads of ripe berries and red fruits added to peppery notes will give you an easy drinking and fresh wine that will pair very well with cheeses, pastas, pizzas, casseroles and any type of meat. The unoaked treatment allows this wine to show its freshness, liveliness  and exuberance delivering  smooth texture and round and soft tannins.
It is also a good option for those of you who want to try something different than a Pinot Noir but with more body and similar aromas.
It is a must-try wine in the shop. Aromatic and versatile. Definitely a good one!

And do not forget: I have no bias or diplomatic reasons to promote this wine..

The Kernel – Cascade

9 Mar

Hello to all good people in Britain and abroad.

My Beer of the Moment is the Cascade from The Kernel brewery.
It is a IPA deliciously delicious!!!
It is a full bodied beer with an interesting characteristic: this IPA will not leave that bitter finish in your palate.
Its flavours is consistent and brings orange, almonds, nuts and a little bit of spiciness.
Do you know what? I’m going to grab one more before the shelf is empty.
Cheers!!!
